Richmond EDA Welcomes New Board Member, Jared Loiben

EDA Board Member Jared LoibenThe Richmond Economic Development Authority (EDA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Jared Loiben to its Board of Directors. Jared Joined the EDA at the end of February 2025. His first Board Meeting was on March 27, 2025. With a background in business, law, and corporate accounting and development, Jared brings a wealth of experience to the board.

Currently an analyst in corporate development at Dominion Energy, Jared oversees mergers, acquisitions, and joint venture processes for the company. Prior to joining Dominion Energy in Richmond, Jared worked in mergers and acquisitions at Price Waterhouse and Cooper (PwC) and Spirit AeroSystems. He earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Wisconsin and received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Finance, and Business Analytics from the University of Kansas. His expertise as both a JD and CPA brings a unique perspective that will be invaluable to the EDA’s initiatives.

For Jared, joining the EDA is an opportunity to leverage his business and legal background to give back to the community. He hopes to help strengthen Richmond’s economic landscape while ensuring growth is inclusive for all residents. In particular, he emphasizes the importance of expanding affordable housing development in the city. For Jared, ensuring that Richmonders have access to quality, affordable homes, is essential to Richmond’s long-term economic success.

Originally from Chicago, Jared was raised in a city known for its world-class dining scene. With a grand uncle who owned a major restaurant group, his appreciation for great food runs deep – and is something he’s found mirrored in Richmond’s vibrant culinary culture.

Richmond EDA is excited to welcome Jared Loiben to the Board of Directors and looks forward to his contributions in the years ahead.
